
General Administration
Dr. Thomas J. Horan: Executive Director of the Marian Center holds a Bachelor’s Degree in Sociology, a Master’s Degree in Rehabilitation Counseling, a Master’s Degree in Business Administration and a Doctor of Education Degree in Psychology. He is licensed as a Psychologist in Florida and Pennsylvania. Dr. Horan has been with the Marian Center since March 2003.
Vivianne R. Bailey: Administrative Assistant, Vivianne has been with the Catholic Health Services family since 1987, she has been with the Marian Center since 1993. She graduated from Hialeah High School and attended Florida Keys Community College.
Adult Day Training Program
Lynne Ratigan L Grey: Director of Adult Services Lynne holds a Bachelor’s Degree in Science and a Master’s Degree in Health Administration Services. Lynne is responsible for managing the Adult Day Training Program, Supported Employment, and Residential Services. Lynne joined the Marian Center in November 2004.
Victoria Alonso: ADT Unit Supervisor, joined the Marian Center in January 2000.
Anita Gonzalez: ADT Unit Supervisor, Anita re-joined the Marian Center in October 2006 and is very creative & artistic. She works with the individuals in the ADT in arts and crafts. She had previously worked in the kitchen and has also worked in the cottage at the Marian Center.
Darren James: ADT Unit Supervisor, Darren has a Bachelor’s Degree in Physical Education & Health from Florida Memorial College and joined the Marian Center in October 2006.
Jennifer King: ADT Unit Supervisor. Jennifer attended Enshan Secondary High School in England and migrated to Jamaica, where she attended Commercial College. She joined the Marian Center in June 1983.
Barbara Morgan: ADT Unit Supervisor, Barbara previously worked for at Landmark serving persons with disabilities. She joined us in September 2004.
Sister Paola Nofori: Coordinator of Adult Education & Campus Ministry. Sister Paola obtained a degree in Nursing and Religion in Italy, as well as a Bachelors Degree in Sociology and Special Education from Barry University in Miami. Sister Paola is the foundress of the Marian Center.
Celia Rodriquez: Coordinator of ADT services, Celia joined the Marian Center in November 1993.
Elena Rebecca Sancho: ADT Unit Supervisor, Elena attended Miami Dade College and joined the Marian Center in August 1995.
Barbara Morgan: Supported Employment Coach.
Carla Chester: ADT Unit Supervisor, Carla joined the Marian Center in August, 2000 and transferred to the ADT in August 2006. She previously was assigned to the Marian Center Pre-school and School.
Cottage
Delores Anderson: Residential Night Assistant, Delores attended high school in Jamaica and joined the Marian Center in July 2003.
Josianne Stewart: Residential Coordinator; Josianne joined the Marian Center in May, 2005.
Ilse Valdes: Residential Assistant, Ilse joined the Marian Center in March, 2004.
Brendia Cauley: Residential Assistant, Brendia joined the Marian Center in 2006.
Shurla Anderson: Residential Assistant, Shurla joined the Marian Center in 2008.
Sylvia Woods: Residential Assistant, Sylvia joined the Marian Center in March 2009.
Custodial Services and Operations
Sr. Carla Valentini: Director of Grounds and Operations, Sister Carla received a Registered Nursing Degree in Italy and a Bachelor’s Degree in Special Education from Barry University, in Miami. She is also a certified instructor in food service management and has taken extensive computer courses on general applications and programming. Sister Carla is a founding sister of the Marian Center.
Vivian Campa: Custodial Assistant, Vivian joined the Marian Center in October, 2004.
Ms. Merley Wilson: Director of Food Services, Ms. Wilson has been working in the field of Food Services since 1985. She is also a member of the Dietary Managers Association and has been at the Marian Center since 2006
Sandra Plazaola: Custodial Assistant, Sandra joined the Marian Center in September 1999.
Antonio Sanchez: Maintenance Manager, has training in air conditioning, refrigeration, radio and television services. Toni is certified in pool/spa operations. Toni joined the Marian Center in September 1989.

Clinic
Anamaguel Espinosa: Anamaguel is a Bilingual Speech Language Pathologist. She holds a Bachelor’s Degree in Communication Disorders from Southwest Texas State University and a Master’s Degree in Speech-Language Pathology from Nova Southeastern University. She is a licensed speech-language pathologist and joined the Marian Center in April 2006.
Ana Maria Gutierrez: Ana Maria is a Speech-Language Pathologist Asssistant. She joined the Marian Center Clinic staff in January 2007.
Michelle Huet: Michelle is an Occupational Therapist. She has a Bachelor’s Degree in Occupational Therapy from San Jose State University and is a licensed occupational therapist. She joined the Marian Center Clinic staff in August 2006.
Cristine Keller: Cristine is a Physical Therapist. She holds a Bachelor’s Degree from Middlebury College and a Master’s Degree in Physical Therapy from the University of Miami. She also holds a diploma in Massage Therapy. She is a licensed physical therapist and joined the Marian Center Clinic staff in February 2007.
School
Sr. Lucia Ceccotti: Director Emeritus, Sister Lucia holds degrees in Education, Nursing and Languages from Universities in Italy. She has also earned a Masters of Science in Administration and Special Education from Barry University, in Miami. Sister Lucia is a member of the AAMD, Florida ARC and Council for Exceptional Children. She came to the Marian Center in October 1963 as the Executive Director, a post that she held until 1996. She then moved on to be the Music Director. She was Interim Executive Director from October 2002 till March 2003, when she became School Principal. Sister Lucia is the foundress of the Marian Center.
Sr. Lidia Valli: School Principal. Sr. Lidia obtained a Bachelor's Degree in Early Childhood Education in Italy. She also holds a Bachelor's Degree in Liberal Studies with a specialty in management from St. Thomas University and is presently pursuing a Master's Degree in Educational Leadership at St. Thomas University. She also worked as a teacher at the Marian Center Pre-school Academy and in the School as well as Coordinator of Residential Services and School Librarian. Sr. Lidia came to the Marian Center from Italy in December, 1996.
Camilla Tamargo: Camilla received a Master's of Science in Mental Health Counseling from Nova Southeastern University and a Batchelor's Degree from the University of Wisconsin. Camilla joined the Marian Center in October 2009 on a part-time basis to provide guidance and counseling .
Urszula Brando: Assistant Teacher, Urszula has begun work in obtaining an Associate’s Degree in Elementary Education from Miami Dade College. She joined the Marian Center in September 2004.
Aileen Cardenas: Teacher, Aileen graduated from Florida International University and received a Bachelor's Degree in Special Education. Aileen is also certified in ESE with an endorsement in ESOL. She joined the Marian Center in May 2004
Marie Chen: Teacher, Marie graduated from Florida International University and received a Bachelor's Degree in Special Education. Marie is also certified in ESE with an endorsement in ESOL. She joined the Marian Center in August 2004
Ida Dawson: Assistant Teacher, Ida graduated from Miami Beach Senior High School and received an Associates Degree in Elementary Education from Miami Dade College. She joined the Marian Center in 1990.
Carol Kilgellon: Assistant Teacher, Carol holds an Associates Degree in Elementary Education from Miami Dade College and will continue working towards a degree in Special Education. She has worked both in the Marian Center Pre-school Academy and the School. She joined the Marian Center in March 2002.
Barbara Psinakis: Teacher, Barbara graduated from Miami Dade College and has a Bachelor’s Degree from Florida International University with a major in Special Education. Barbara joined the Marian Center in September 1979. She has worked both in the ADT program as well as the School. She is our most senior teacher.
Pre-School
Nelly Palma: Preschool Director, Nelly graduated from Andres Bello Catholic University in Venezuela with degrees in Psychology and Specialist in Child Development and Varying Exceptionalities. She holds the Florida Child Care and Education Program Director's Credential presented by the Florida Dept of Children and Families. Nelly started at the Marian Center in July, 2005.
Jimena Hibbard: Preschool Teacher. Jimena graduated from Florida International University and received a Bachelor’s degree in Special Education with ESOL endorsement. She is certified in Developmentally Handicapped Education. She joined the Marian Center in August 2006.
Claudia Molina: Assistant Teacher. Claudia has completed Child Care training at Miami-Dade Community College. She also has worked in Operations at the Marian Center. Claudia joined the Marian Center in April 2003.
Agnes Powell: Assistant Teacher. Agnes completed High School and attended Medical Trade School. She has completed Child Care Training at Broward Community College. Agnes has also worked at the Cottage and the Adult Day Training. She joined the Marian Center in February 1995.
Luz Helena Rivera: Infant Care Specialist. Luz has an associate degree in Child Development (CDA) from Miami-Dade College. She has been working with infants for over nine years. Luz joined the Marian Center in January 2007.
Kanova Jones: Assistant Teacher. Kanova joined the Marian Center in 2007.
